Sorry bud, but if you want a .90 engine, get a 90 heli. Lets keep it safe! the 600 is not designed for that kind of power or vibration. You could hurt yourself or others.

I disagree. With proper care and setup, it performs quite nicely.
How is a .90 size engine mod any different than changing a 600E to an 8s, or 10s lipo setup?
2050 RPM on the head is 2050 RPM on the head. 600mm blades are still 600mm. The only thing that has changed is the ability of the engine to maintain that speed, and swing those blades.

sorry boss, the weight and torque on the frame is very different. Yes, head speed is head speed. but you are changing too much. altering frames is not really wise. if it was, the manufacturer would have done it or recomended it.

Who said anything about altering the frames? The frames don't need to be altered.
And the argument about manufacturers recommendations should also apply to 8S or 10S setups as well...... Align designed it with a 6S setup. If they wanted an 8S, or 10S setup in it, then they would have released it with one. These setups will have considerably more torque than the 6S.

Dropping a 90 size into the rex 600 will not be a wise idea.
a friend of mine did it with a ys 91 and hotori pipe, but he did not get the power he was expecting.
the 90 size helis have different gear ratio!!!!!!
dont waste ur time and ur money, or wait for the 700

I would love to see a weed eater motor solution that would be neat. Mostly so I could pay 4 dollars a gallon versus 30 lol
Anything you choose to do can be done right. May be pointless as suggested but you can do anything you are willing to put the work, time and money into doing.
VDFS you are finding the 600N to lack the power you want? Sheesh I haven't flown mine yet but I saw my friend push his so hard I thought his Radix blades would snap.

VDFS,
I think 90 motor is too much for 600N. No advantage. Your 600N should have enough power now.
But you should follow your heart:

WHY would you want to drop a .90 in a 50 size heli?
Ever watch vids of the real good pilots? They do just fine with a .50.
Work on your collective skills, instead of trying to mask them by stuffing a larger motor in the heli.

All right. to answer your question, you need no extra parts, all you have to do is to drill the aluminum part that fits on the engine shaft to the right diameter. Be carefull not to drill too deep. Also you might need to modify the lower carbon plate depending on the muffler you are using. For info I have fitted the YS 91 in a N600 and wasnt impressed by the performance since the gear ratio is not right for 90 engine. If you are really willing to do the mod, before starting your project find a pinion with 23 teeth instead of the original 22
and you will thank my advice. The problem is that 23 tooth pinion is not available off the shelf so you have to
order it to a machine shop. If you succeed please let me know.
P.S. You also have to cut the engine shaft to the right lenght.
