X9303 - does it use a linear v. regulator like DX7?

I did the mod on my DX7 and replace the inefficient linear voltage regulator on the RF board with the switching reg. I just got a used X9303. Does it use a linear reg as well?

AFAIK yes.

I just opened mine up. It uses the LM2937ES linear regulator. It's good for up to 26 volt input.
