Anyone using a lipo in their X9303? I have on in my DX7 and never had a problem with it.

I'd like to know too. I would like to put a 2100mah pack in, but I'm afraid to void my warranty :O

Been using one in my x9303 for several months. Works great.

Your choice.

But JR says it can damage your Tx.

If you use a couple of diodes to step down the voltage, you would be ok. It's the higher voltage of the fully charged three cell lipo vs a fully charged niMH battery that is the problem. I read a thread somewhere about using the diodes to cut the output voltage down.

I just added two 1N4001 diodes in the negative wire of a 3S1P LiPo Tx pack the other night and installed it in my new X9303. Fully charged the pack shows up as 10.9V on the display... darned near perfect! By my calculations when the Tx reaches 9V and sounds a low battery alarm, I'll still have plenty of power to complete my flight and land safely with some reserve left over. In addition, the diodes help cover my butt if I forget and try to charge my Tx battery through the standard charge port as they will block the reverse current flow! ;)

fully charged after cycling my NIMH stock pack read 11.3v
I'm thinking of just adding ONE diode to a lipo pack.
thoughts?

Actually I've thought about going back and removing one of the two. I don't think it would hurt the radio, however it would cut things closer if I ever let the Tx voltage drop to the 9V low-voltage warning (the LiPo would be much closer to 9V than the way I currently have it, and would leave me a lot less safety margin).
