For those of you running the Align gov, you might be interested to hear about my findings with checking the headspeed with an optical tach against gain values in the manual.

I run a DX7 / ar7000, QuickUK fan and Radix blades, and found that the headspeed was within 20rpm or the suggested values according to the radio gain in the manual. I checked from 1700 to 2100.

Hi Frog,

I tached mine with my MA optical tach and found mine to be within 65 rpm of the headspeeds stated in the manual. I very happy with the performance and the value. It sure was simple to setup. I love the sensor that bolts into pre-existing holes. And at 9 grams, you can't beat the weight.

Hey Andy,

Yeah i'm loving my Align gov too, great for the money and weight.

Which values are you using out of the manual? The JR ones? Don't think there is a DX7 one in mine?

Hi Tom,

Yes, I'm using the JR values for my DX7. My setup ending up being 96% for IU1 (2100 rpm) and 103% for IU2 (2200 rpm). That's with an OS Hyper, 30% CY fuel, and a CarbSmart set at 110 C.
