Hi,
I´m currently buzzing around in my Mini Titan feeling pretty happy about it. However, sitting in the corner of my study is a big box containing the E550 and i´m about ready to decide what electronics to get for it.
Sooo...regarding batteries, seems like this bird is intended to fly on 6S setup. Can i get away with a 5S setup for some calm sport flying or is this a 6S helicopter *only*?
Thanks :-)

You have allready the kit I'm watching for it. But I've the same question.
Which is the best (battery) setup for LONG light sport flying for the E550?
Is the standard setup oké (6s5000 Lipo).
also thanks

I run my E550 on 6cell 5300mAh, stock setup, (Ace ESC gov mode, 1100kV Z30 motor, 9t pinion, 1900rpm headspeed, GCT 550 blades) and easily gets 10min of sport flying including some loops and rolls. Very powerfull, smooth and stable.:noteworthy
Used 3300mAh 6 cell as well which gives 7 min.

Vinger, what brand of battery are you using (5300mah) and how many flights do you have on it?

A Plus (www.flying-hobby.com (http://www.flying-hobby.com)) 2 of my batteries have over 30 flights on them, while the other 3 have 12 flights each. They all perform the same since new. Carefull ballancing before charging as well as after charging. MegaPower charger/balancer. Excellent batteries for the price.

Use the 6S, you can use 5S but you will soon want to go up to 6S. Even on 5000MAH pack on 6S i can get upto 10min flight time
