I am getting ready to install a GV1 in my Extreme. Is it a pain to do this and are there any specific recommendations or tricks you guys have that will ultimately assure a good setup? I am not all that thrilled about removing the engine but a few guys at IRCHA said it is about a 2 hour job. I am aware of the fan balance issues and have read the postings on it. I hate to ask this question in light of the fan balance threads but would you spend the extra time doing that while everything is apart? Any specific suggestions on the actual magnet installation? I was told to use a Radio Shack cobalt magnet rather than the one that comes with the GV1.

Thanks for your help.

Definately balance it after the magnet installation!!
The governor will help you with consistancy in overall flying.
Installing is as simple as drilling a hole, inserting the magnet, and making sure it is secure, the balancing is what takes the time, and the more time you spend, the better the result.
Do this while taking your time, you won't regret it.
