DX6i TH Issue

I started to use my TH before and after take off. I tried something different, i first turned on the remote then turned on TH then plug in the Heli. Now when I turn off TH a get low throttle and the blades spin up. So i quickly flipped it off and made sure my thorttle stick is all the way down. I turned it on again and I still get the low throttle. So i unplugged the heli turned off TH. I plugged the heli back then spunned her 50% turned on TH and she turned off like she is supposed too. Any idea why this is happening. I guess i cant turn on the heli with TH on???

hi if I turn on throttle hold when powering up my tx the gyro won't set,
so I power up the tx then the heli without TH when the gryo initialises I can switch on TH and all is well.
this is with the blade 400 and dx6i,

You have to set your throttle trim all the way down. The ESC learns the low throttle point when you plug in the battery, so when you switch out of throttle hold with the trim in the middle the ESC sees the throttle is slightly up.

That was the problem Paul thank you. I dont like my Thro-Trim all they way down. Or is that the way i should have my Tx set?

The throttle hold is set to -5% by default. If you arm the ESC with the throttle hold on it sees -5% as the low point. Try arming the ESC with the throttle hold off and the left stick at zero. After the ESC arms switch the throttle hold on to handle the heli.

You could also change the setting for throttle hold to 0% if you like to have it on for arming.

TH is not the bottom on the front that is Throttle cut. It is the switch on the right toward the back. The sticker has
Mix - 0
Th hold- 1

Throttle cut you have to hold down. TH switch you just flip to 1

FYI make sure your Thro Curve for TH is zero before you flip it. The default is zero.

Thank you Flex. I'll check it carefully. This radio is still fairly new to me. I've just started getting used to it. FLown one plane and the Phoenix sim a few times. Just getting the Trex set up, then off to the Raptor 30. Doc
