I'm looking at getting new flybar V-paddles from Align and I was looking online and saw that I could choose from:
80mm
85mm
90mm
95mm

which is better? whats the difference?
I'm assuming that the bigger the more stable, but can you really feel the difference?

Also if it matters, I am using the stock length flybar

Thanks

Jon

Actually, bigger is NOT more stable. The bigger the paddle, the faster the cycillic and slower the FF. The heli actually becomes more light, therefore more twitchy with the bigger padles. So far, every one I have flown with all agree on the Align 3D paddles. They are better than the stock, but give good performance.

Heavier paddles are more stable////the lighter the paddle the faster your cyclic will be..and will also be more twitchy..

But he is talking mm, not grams, and sorry, but if you go bigger on the paddles, has no choice but to be more twitchy as the cyclic has more influence.

Nice! thanks guys, so Sparky, since I have stock paddles and want to upgrade any suggestion on length? Like maybe one of the medium ones?

If you insist on the V paddles instead of the Align 3D paddles, I would probably go with the 85mm until you are very comfortable with stunts, This will still give you good fast forward flight and turns will still be easy. If you find the heli is too light, you can put the stock weights back on to slow it down a little, then take them off when you are comfortable. I have tried the Funkey, Raptor, and the Align 3D paddles, and I am currently pleased with the Align 3D.
