Congrats Otto!
Nice blades too. Makes me wonder... What if one painted their blades like the German pilots painted their nose cones, in a swirl? Could be cool, might hypnotize me.
I am about to go fly with gear on after two good crashes. I'm SO nervous. I hope my flight ends like yours. In one piece.
Again, nice flying.

Hey Lock, I used some rustoleum fluorescent green from Home Depot. I am waiting for the white canopy to show up, they said it was on back-order so I can paint that.... Should be fun LOL

Yes I am... because I still have a whole can left I am going to make a design with striping tape then peel it off after I paint it. I hope it comes out OK.

Have not taken it yet. Started reading stuff here and I have a new battery charging inside so decided to wait until it is done. Should be close.
(Or is he so nervous about flying again he is subconciously finding any reason he can to keep from going to the heliport?)
[DING] Battery is done. Time to see if my main shaft is bent.

Well, you can relax. It lives!
Once hovering, the main shaft looks ok. The heli does seem to jog here or there by itself. Not sure if it was the light breeze or my mind expecting something or nervous fingers. It almost feels like the first time. Going to go out in the backyard (was at neighbors) and set up the web cam. And nothing stupid this time. No swatting bugs etc. Focus, focus, focus!

:lolol You crack me up!
Ok, I got a little film of the second flight today. Am uploading it now and will make a post later when done (as to not continue polluting Otto's thread ). Something is not right with my heli though and I think it is the pitch, especially since I worked on the front servo.
Will get into that more later. May be a while. Need to eat and then I fly on PC with some friends every Wed in IL2. Yes, I'm a computer geek/freak too.
