Default does anyone ever stop trying to make their heli fly better

My question as stated above is, do you guys continue to play with your setting always trying to make your helis fly a little better? or do you just set it up and know its right. this question i guess is geared to the more experienced. im still new to the heli thing but i always find myself messing with settings and pitch curves trying to make things better, and sometime just to see how it affects the heli in general. thanks just wanted to see if i was alone in my constant messing

I normally leave parameters alone between crashes but I have steadily upgraded my hardware over time as my flying skill has improved - faster servos, better engine / muffler, metal parts - some useful, and a lot of bling. Just upgraded to superlight paddles and I now think I have finally started to outgrow the GY401 gyro (to be replaced with a CSM SL720.

Hmmm, whats next????

I have made several changes and then stick with the setting. found that having less - + collective like 10 instead of 12 deg has made me a better pilot .aside from that I use all kit parts to help repairs stay cheep.

I'm from the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" school of thinking. Not to say I dont try to improve things, but I don't fool with stuff for no reason. I do regular checks to make sure things are correct and fix if needed. When I first started, I experimented alot with curves and radio features but never screwed too much with the heli itself.

i will test and try new things till i get what i like, but i usualy like to go better still lol

i like my DX7 with the 2 idle up modes for testing, i, for example will set the throttle curves the same but have 10 deg. pitch in S1 and 12 deg. in S2 and compare the difference, or same pitches but one with more throttle and compare the difference and keep going till the best is worked out

I usually am spending my time trying to keep my helis flying perfectly. It seems like what ever happens, something is always needing adjustment or maintenance.

Once I had my REX tuned in perfectly, I haven't touched the settings and don't plan to.

If I feel something is wrong i'll change it but if it's flying good I just run it. I'd rather spend more time flying a consistent bird than constantly changing things. A few guys are constantly fiddling with there setups trying to make their flying better when what they really need is more stick time.

On of the reasons I love my logo 500 is its so damn maintenance free. I do a good pre-flight but only once found something out of place. Other than that I abuse that thing everyday and it still flies awesome. I've had no reason to do any tweaking. I think some helis are more prone to tweaking based on their sub-par stock flying characteristics, or they wear quick and need little adjustments here and there.

Oh, and the one problem I did catch was a loose paddle. It came loose from the CA holding it on and was able to rotate a bit. I had flown it the previous flight and all I noticed was that it was extra farty. lol I thought it was a blade sticker coming loose off my blades. oh well!
