Having a small problem hope someone can help.

While changing my fuel line I found that my check valve was almost falling in two. While taking the line off it did fall in two. I didn't notice anything out of place until I found a small spring on the bench. The only thing I could think of was that it went inside the check valve so I took it apart and it seems to go in but I just not sure. And if it does where exactly where does it go inside so I can be sure it is right.....Nothing in the manual about the check valve as to what is inside. Thanks Bill

The spring holds the diaphragm closed and if you take a moment to think about it, it is obvious that the spring must be on the downstream side i.e. closest to the tank. It is there to keep the check valve closed so that pressure can only flow from the engine to the tank, not FROM the tank.

I assume that you haven't dropped the tiny silicon diaphragm as well?

Be aware that the check valve must be fitted with the correct orientation - there is a small arrow mark that should point towards the tank.
