Okay so I stripped my gears, metal replacements arrived. The swap out seemed easy enough. When I plug in the battery nothing happens like they have no power, after about a minute or so they started getting warm. Any clues to what went wrong?

You must ahve put the replacement gears in wrong! I did the same thing but with plastic gears. Try moving the gears around. Just so that you will know the first gear to go on is NOT the tiny one like you would think, it's one of the larger ones and THEN the little one. If you have any more trouble I'll try and post a video. Michael
