Not to sound negative, but this seems more like a planker radio... I was actually planning on getting one, but I can't see it now.
I'm currently flying an X9303. The only thing I see improved is the back light on the screen and the ball bearing gimbals. The metal case is of course nice. BUT, I just can't justify those items for trading in my X9303....
One thing that really turned me off is I can't transfer my models from my X9303 to the 12X. THAT IS  :bs
It has a lot of bells and whistles for plankers that's for sure

Uhhh... 8 point curves with position of the points adjustable... A gyro page that actually works with output on decent channels... Up to 4 software switches based on stick position (use for Timers, Flight Modes, whatever).
Of course, the X9303 is very nice, and you don't NEED the things mentioned above. Heck, I've been flying mostly my DX7 even though I have a 9303 with a module.
Still, the 12x is pretty nice for helis.

I just got a 2.4 9303, MSRP sticker shock for the 12x sealed the deal. I sold my 10x to get the 9303. I love the 9303 but it does have a cheaper feel compared to the 10x and the ability to set the positions of your points is awesome.

My understanding is the 9303 has ball bearing gimbals. 8 Points is nice, but I started with 3, so 5 is just fine.

8 is a stange number, I would think 9, then you would have the normal 5 plus opn inbetween every 2 of the 5 points. 7 on the 9303 means the steps are odd.
