Okay I have tried 10 times to get this frame true. I have it on a flat surface all screws loose main shaft is moving freely. I have a right angle on it (even though the top is about 2 mills narrower then the bottom). I am pushing down on the top of the frame at the top bearing block. No matter what tightening pattern or where I press when I tighten the fist bearing block screw the frame warps off the table. I even pulled out the bearing blocks swapped and flipped them. I finally got frustrated and went ahead and used the CA and lock tight all the screws one at a time. So the main shaft is still smooth but the frame is off the table in the right front or left rear corners but .305mm to .5mm. Is this ½ millimeter out of true going to affect much? I know my belt CP is out by about 3mm and flies okay.

Thanks for any help:arggg:

I say go for it, it would seem if the main shaft slides freely your good to go. A 1/2 mil. is pretty slight.
My 600 did pretty much the same and it flew just fine.
I think your beating your head against the wall for nothing. Put it together and go fly.

if the bearing blocks are flat and the shaft is free and the fram isnt twisted looking then you may be fine. when you put the bottom black plastic frame plate in [is that crooked with the rest of the heli?

sounds like one frame plate is just bigger at the bottom. if i were you i,d do a little measureing and find out exactly what and where the mistake was made in the frame plates just so you know what your dealing with

How does the frame halves look if you place them on top of each other?
Are they very "different"?

The frame plates are milled the same I think the bottom inside plate is molded a bit off and it is 1 mm wider then the bearing blocks. I do not see any of the usual plastic board out of the holes getting in the way to your eye it looks great set on the glass and it rocks a bit. I did not think it was going to be a big deal but wanted to get some expert opinions
Thanks guys,
Bob H you mean if I build it I have to fly it?!!? :)

I found during my build that the screws going in to the bottom tray seem to "wander" and kind of warp the thing as you screw it in. I left all the frame screws loose then slid the mainshat into place and bolted it up with the gear and tightened up the collar then screwed the bearing blocks down in a criss-cross pattern between the sides, then the motor mount and finally the bottom and it got it pretty square.

I think as long as the mainshaft spins freely, you'll be good to go.
