Hey guys I have recently purchased a stratus converted from an extreme and just wanted to know how to tell if the clutch I have is the heavy duty one?Whats the diameter?

Or did the extremes come standard with the hd one?

My two extremes did not come with the HD clutch, but they are early models. I understand that the new ones do. I measured my old standard clutch and it's diameter is 37.5mm. The HD is, of course, larger.

You are gonna love your Stratus..Like you I did the conversion and I decided to upgrade to the heavyduty clutch...It is costly but worht every penny.. I have not been able to make it slip at all!!!! costly cuz I purchased the entire unit bearings and all...

My Extreme came with the newer larger clutch, but from what I understand, you and I will both still need the Tempest/Stratus style lower bearing block for your Stratus conversion.

Yes, you will need the new style lower bearing block for the Stratus conversion. It is not an option as is the heavy duty clutch.
