Just want to ask people using kong power pack. Is this a little heavy for the little guy(400)? Hows the cg holding? Any canopy mod? And lastly how much flight time do you run?
The reason for this is I want to purchase a couple of lipos. I'm looking at loongmax or kong, which are pretty cheap if you buy them in pairs. Any inputs in here will be appreciated. Thank you very much.

i dont have a 400 but i fly the 2200 kp on my 450. the heli flies fine with it, but i do notice the weight. if i had to do it again i'd get the 1800 kp's.

Those Kongs will make your B400 extremely nose heavy. I am nose heavy with the Loongmax lips and they are ~25grams lighter then a Kong.
Runtimes are going to depend on how you fly and your throttle curves. So no one will be able to give you a definate answer.
2200-2250 lipos will give you more run time, but not as much as you think. You have to move around more weight as well, so that will effect your overall gain.
I run 2250s in my B400 right now. I am probably going to end up getting some 1800s for the B400 and leave the 2250s for my Dragonus. What makes the B400 so much fun is it's weight.

I am not an expert by any means. But for me personally, the gain in run time compared to the additional cost of batteries... I think I mau stay with the stock 1800's myself. From what I am hearing, I may get another two minutes for the additional money spent. Not that valuable to me. I would rather buy more 1800 batteries and that way I can always have one charged.

i get maybe 30 seconds, if that, more flight time with the 2200 kp vs my 1800 20c lm's. the extra weight basically kills any run time gain.

Has anyone tried the following: EFLB21003S 2100mAh 3S 11.1V 20C LiPo, 13GA EC3
I thought about picking one up to use as an extra.

I'll put in a vote for Loong-Max 2250 20C, have the 25C too but they are a tad too heavy.

So was it one of your LM packs that blew up your 600? (I've been curious)
I've noticed in your other posts that you've also gotten servos from HobbyCity in Hong Kong.
I heard all your praise for those LM batteries and ordered a couple when they had a whole bunch in stock (and paid the $18 for express shipping) and it took them a couple hours short of an entire calendar week to ship them.
The batteries seem great so far, and they were an INCREDIBLE bargain even with the shipping charge, I wasn't very impressed by their customer service (they never replied to any of my requests, and no one ever answers the phone).
But should I be worrying about my B400 spontaneously combusting down the road?

I wouldnt worry about it. I have 2 packs that have over 50 cycles on them and 3 other packs with 25+ and no issues whatso ever.
Odds are the reason they went up in smoke in his 600 is that they are a little underpowered to run something like that.
www.valuehobby.com sells G-Force Lipos. They are the same lipo as the LoongMax, just a different label. I would suggest picking up some of the 1800s from there for you Blade 400. They are a better value then the Eflite 1800s for sure.

No my Loong-Max batteries are GOOD, what went up in flames was ABF 3S 2100 20C, but it wasnt the batteries fault at all....turns out running lipos in parallel is risky and I had one that was lower then the rest so when it reached over-discharge, the others were still fine and kept going - causing the weaker one to get extremely HOT and went up in flames. It was my fault, for not understanding the process. It can be done, I know that lots of folks that do it BUT.....I will only run 2 in series from now on.....no more parallel connections for me. I'm gonna order 2 3S 5000mah 20C/25C for the new beast which is shipping to me as we speak :)
Edit: Sorry to hear about your troubles with hobby city. My very first order with them was 2 Loong-Max 2250mah 20C and paid the extra for shipping came to just under 60 bucks and I got them in 3 days. Guess I was just lucky, I've heard others complain about them too. I've had 3 orders with them now and have no complaints.

Ok everybody sounds good to me. Overall it will make the 400 nose heavy, and right a little time is no match to stability of the bird. So I'm looking at 20C 1800 at valuehobby.com seems to be lighter than stock e-flite 1800, and for the price of $26 each can't beat that.
Thank you for your inputs it helps alot.
Oh LockMD can I borrow a loongmax on saturday just want to test it.

Was just gonna say, WAIT! you can try mine 2250 20C is perfect for this bird, but I do have my tail servo mounted on the boom too, so that is helping level the weight issues.
Just wait before you BUY, we can work on some issues and see whats best for you.
I am playing hooky tomorrow gonna try to get her perfect for your visual pleasure LOL, you'll see she is SWEEEEEET very level and stable. Too bad you did not get to see last time.
If you are only hovering, the field might not appeal to you. We can just mess around in my back yard. Momma wants to BBQ too, so it will be a good day with NO crashing!
Or we can do both.....yard, field, yard, BBQ its all good......Just hope the winds teat us well :)

Just what is the weight of the kong packs? I was gonna pick up the Chrager+2 lipo combo
Im running a venom 2100 now and its a TAD nose heavy but my tail boom mount seems to balance some of it out. And if I toss a CNC tail on it like planned I cant see why a 2200 would be a problem.... Just how heavy are they?
