I buying a used Venture 50 which has servos that are able to run on 6 V. I want to use a 6 V switching regulator since I'll be running 2S Lipo for Rx packs, but the G500T is only rated at 4.8 V. I have 1N5404 diode to use as a step down but it will only bring the voltage down to 5.2 - 5.3 V. I know that a fully charged Nimh 4 cell pack is much higher than 4.8 V so the gyro should be able to handle 5.3 V steady.

This is the setup on it:
3 HS-5625MG on cyclic
HS-525MG on throttle
G500T and DS8417 on tail
CSM Revloc
AR7000

Thinking about buy a Duralight 6 V regulator or maybe going with the align 2 in 1
