DX7 buddy box

Hey guys, how do I set up the DX7 to work on a buddy box. Mine will be the master, and my friends will be the slave. Do i have to make the same model on both TX's? Just let me know what exactly I have to do to make this work cause the manual is a bit faint on this subject

For master:

SW: L-ROCKER

For slave

[TRAINER]

SLAVE/P-LINK

Use any mono or stereo cable.

"Master" will be the main transmitter that is bound to the receiver. It will be set up to control the aircraft. In Function menu, set:

[TRAINER]

-> P-LINK
SW: L ROCKER

"Slave" need not be set up to fly the aircraft. Just have all trims to zero. Then in Function menu, set:

[TRAINER]

SLAVE/P-LINK

To fly the buddy system, plug the buddy cord to each of the txs' buddy jacks. Master tx must be turned on. Slave tx must be off. Master will fly the heli as is. When rocker switch is pushed, controls are handed over to the slave.
