Does anyone have a problem with leaveing the battery plugged to the 2 in 1 I have had a problem with align bec running my lipo battery down and ruining it. I do not want this to happen with the 2 in 1 and I do not want to take my canope off every time I fly .

no issues w/ the 2 in 1. but the battery itself sucks.. mine puffed after 100 flights roughly

You will probably only get about 5 flights from the align 1900 battery, so you will probably have to take the canopy off at sometime during the day. Unless of course 5 flights is enough.

My Align 1900 align start puffing now after 6 gallon (+-60 flights, +-10 cycles of charge). I had 6 flights before, Now I had 4 flights, I think it's on the way to die. I had no problem with 2 in 1.

I have 6 of the Align 1900 receiver packs, and all seem good to me. I have about 15 flights on 2-3 of them, and the rest of them are almost new, maybe 2-4 flights on them.

The 2 in 1 is great , the battery that is included sucks. mine puffed in the first week i had it... get a TP 2200mAh 2cell 7.4 extreme , it fits under the radio tray perfectly.

well I'm using the align 1900 LiPo and don't have any problems so far (about 10 charges @ 1.5 A).. I can certainly do 4 flights with it
I always take the battery out of my heli and store/charge it in a safe place. Just in case

How much more time are you getting with the FP packs? Im using the align and having to recharge every few flight seems excessive to me. my old nicad I had on my raptor lasted way longer than this.

The stock align 1900mah absolutly sucks. Mine puffed when I was setting up the heli.
Right now I use a TP 3400. I can get at least 5 flights out it. That is flying the crap out of it with 8717s and V blades too.

actualy its not a bad Idea to remove it every time you fly just to do a quick visual saftey check .I would say if you are in that much of a hurry to get back into the air # 1 Either get a bigger Tank or #2 Slow down an enjoy it more because you are bound to over look something somewhere along the way ( That is just Murhiy 's Law ) I have been doing to quick turn around to get back into the air and on my 10th gallon of nitro My head became lose from the engine block:wow2::happyd Bad news I had my first Non Powered auto from about 80 feet up .Scary Brooke my skids when it hit the deck .SO I pulled it down to repair clean and inspect . When I did I found that the Brand New Metal UP-Grade Bearing Blocks (with only say 1 hour flight time on them ) Were feeling Notchy and very very tight .They are sussposed to feel smooth as glass. So I ended up putting the original OEM Nylon ones back in.
:smokin:Moral of the story I could have avoided this Mechanical error resulting in a flight forced emergency landing/crash. And If I had not done an even further inspection I would never have discovered that my NEW main bearing were Crap:smokin:Needless to say that would have caused my head rotor to stop rotating at an even speed really messing things up...........This Heli I bought Pre Asyembled from a local shop .If you buy a pre asyembled model .Dis asymble it and re asyemble it just to be sure of EVERY thing Leave Nothing to chance Because it will find you :cheers

???? where is this coming from??? we were discussing the battery quality in the align 2 in 1 BEC. Why does it seem like every time someone brings an issue or asks a simple question, the thread gets hijacked by some long winded lecture about helicopter safety.

I use a FP EVO Lite 1600mah pack which gives me 3 to 4 flights then I put like 800mah back into it, at this point I am at the orange LED.

I am thinking I will get some 2S Flight Power 2500 Evolites. At about 150 grams they will make my heli balance perfectly and maybe I can get a few extra flights out of the battery before having to charge. They are a little longer than what I am using now but it should slide back into the front of the frames no worries.

Looks like you're doing just what you're complaining about dude :arggg:
I've had mostly good experiences with ~ 6 of the Align packs 1100-1900 - I like their compactness and having a JST plug ready to go. Just had one puff after ~50 cycles (and that was one with the balance lead) so not too bad. I'm slowly converting to EvoLite 2100s
