You don't, you wouldn't wanna blow the LiPo up in your heli....

if you leave it plugged in you will get a slow draw from your battery

NEVER charge your lipo while attached to the heli. Take the extra 5 minutes and put it in a fire safe container and charge it. Complacency kills helis.

Find a way to fix it underneath the bottom plate. I would not do it, but this is one way of doing it.

My 2 in 1 is permanently plugged into the battery and I've not had any battery drain at all. There was an issue with some early BEC's sold with the 600E causing battery drain but I've not seem it reported with the 2 in 1 regulator.

HAH! Paranoya will destroya! Also stand over the battery during the charge in a flame retardant suit with a fire extinguisher, and have your local HAZMAT team on call.

Actually modern lipos are much more stable than they used to be. As long as you dont overdischarge your battery, use a quality charger, and charge at the appropriate rate, I think its fine to charge it right in your heli. I use the little hole under the nose of the canopy. Of course this is just my opinion and I know there's alot of worry worts that are gonna disagree with me.

I'd rather be a worry wart than have to rekit because of laziness.

On the other hand, I have not had one problem charging my lipos. Even though I charge them in a metal box in the garage, they never even get a little warm. Compare this to old school nimh or nicd, they get pretty toasty after a full charge.

I did have a nicd blow many years ago, but it was because I charged a pack unattended with the cheapy timer style quick chargers (this was when i was in HS back in the late 80's).

Battery charging has certainly come a long way.

If you want to keep the battery pluged into the 2 in 1, you are going to need to make a charge lead off of the battery. So what you can do is when you're soddering the deans connecters on to the battery, sodder another lead onto each terminal. Make sure you make the lead long enough to reach off of you canopy.

PM me if you want to see pics of mine because my explaining ability isn't the best.

Hi. I always take out the battery when charging(learned the hard way, had a fire in one off my choppers)
and at the end of the day I disconnect the batterys from the bec just to be sure. Better safe than sorry.
