I was having what appeared to be some strange glitch issues with my new Belt-CP (First RC Heli). Not only was I chasing the bird all the time, on occasion it would just take off with a mind of it's own. Thank goodness I've logged a fair amount of stick time with the Sim or I'm sure the Crash Man would have cometh.
So before the wife could chime in about costs, I decided to swap out some of the electronics with the hope that would help. :-)
In the mail this week arrived a new DX7, 6100e (got another rec'r too since Spektrum is having their giveaway), HS-55 servos, GY401, S3114 Servo. Just today I finished installing the new gear, which was enlightening (Thanks to finless' vid's)!! While at it I decided I'd have to re-setup all the linkages. Holy slop! Anyway, I took my bird outside with new gear and adjusted links.
OMG, what a difference it all made! I just got done flying a pack and it was pretty much rock steady. I'm not sure if it was just any one of the things I did, or the combination of all of them that made the difference, but it is NOT the same bird. There was even a gentle breeze with the occasional light gust out as well. :-)
I can only image how great it'd fly if I replaced all those loose plastic parts with a CNC metal head. That's the next purchase. I'm afraid that I'm hooked now!!
