Hi,

I am looking at purchasing my first machine to learn on, then I want a Joker Maxi for aerial photography use. I am a professional photographer. I am keen on the new Swift as it seems to be good value for money BUT advice please......

I have ordered my flight simulater, realflight 3 and intend to spend at the least 60 hours on it before I try any real machine....

Any help would be wonderful

If you are just learning, go for a nitro machine, it will give you longer run times so you can learn quicker. After you get past the hump training to hover, and forward flight, you can determine if electrics will suit your needs as a camera ship.
There are expenses involved in larger electrics such as batteries, speed controls, chargers, etc. that would make it less cost effiecient to learn to fly with, not to mention the dangers inherent in charging LiPo packs, without learning yet another critical procedure to complicate things.
IMHO, the damage to a LiPo pack during a crash while learning is cash wasted, and unrecoverable.
