This is a bind and fly setup. The receiver is a JR 921 2.4Ghz RX. You will need a transmitter and a charger for the Lipos. This package saves you about $800, gets you in the air fast and setup right, and with lots of spares keeps you in the air and away from the parts store for a little while. With ground mods already completed and tested, this heli has been free of static issues. Flight times are 5 minutes with this setup. With lower gearing you can increase this.

Trex 500 CF w/yellow canopy (full grounding mods) $500
RCP II 425 Cabon Blades installed $50
Align 425 Carbons NIB (stock item)
KB Tail Blades $7
JR 921 2.4GHz 2048 resolution RX $170
Align 500L w/13T installed (stock item)
New Spare 500L $90 (cancels out with stock ESC)
Jazz 80-6-18 ESC (Awesome governor, efficiency and 4amp BEC) $220
JR 7703D Gyro $145
JR 8900 tail servo $89
3 Futaba 9650 on cyclic $150
Align metal bearing blocks $26
Align metal tail $42
Align metal mixing arms and washout arms $35
4 Align 2500 6S w/deans, FP balance plugs and less than 10 cycs each These are actually 2600 packs. Align underrated them. $525
Various Align Pinions (12, 14, 16 and a few others) $20
TrueBlood Swash Level Tool $20
Align Trex 450 Aluminum Kit Case (Good for spares, tools or batts)

Most all listed below are New in Package. Some parts are in sandwich bags because at one time GrandRC was taking parts out of kit and selling them due to parts availability. The only used parts would be the ones replaced with the metal upgrades.

1 pair landing gear with skids, 1 odd gear 3 pair skids $15
3 booms (1 set guides) $16
3 flybars $15
1 set boom supports $9
1 frame base with batt tray and antirotation $17
1 tail rotor assembly $13
3 main shafts (2 collars)$16
1 boom block $11
1 body posts $3
1 paddles $7
2 belts $16
1 tail drive gear assembly $14
2 packs of ball links $6
1 set tail blades $5
2 sets of washout arms $26
2 sets of mixing arms $20
1 pack damper $4
1 pack linkage rod set $4
4 feathering shafts $12
1 set radius arms $4
3 main drive gears $16
2 autorotation tail drive gears $10
1 tail case and shaft (stock item)
1 set plastic bearing blocks w/bearings (stock item)

Trex History

1. One involuntary auto resulting in a tip over that required new landing gear, tail boom, feathing shaft and flybar. Canopy has slight chips and crack but minor and still completely usuable.

2. Motor, servos, RX and ESC that were in this auto, although not harmed, were replaced later with the current listed items just for upgrade purposes. The servos were 5245's, which I found to be crap so I upgraded to 9650's which are much smoother and precise.

3. Upgraded to Jazz ESC.

4. Servo wires on the 9650's are to short to reach the receiver so instead of using full extension, I removed the plug and soldered short extension directly to the pins. This means less wire, weight and the servos can be put back to original just by desoldering and snapping the plugs back on.

5. Heli has anti static mods. This includes continuity from the metal tail to the negative of the ESC. So you have tail to boom, front shaft to boom, boom to frame, frame to ESC and motor plate.

6. Heli is wired using blue wire mesh with gyro and tail servo wires on one side of the frame, separated from other wiring.

7. Landing gear that is currently installed is dyed black. One of the new tail drive gears is dyed black.

8. Two sets of holes have been added at the front of the frame that allow you to lower the battery tray between the frame if desired. This lets you put larger packs between the frames, provided they are narrow enough, and gives you more canopy clearance.

9. Motor that is installed now was bought new and has about 10 flights. The stock motor had been making a strange sound since first flight and was recently replaced with a new motor by Align. So both motors are practically new.

10. Heli has less than 60 flights total. Servos and ESC have less than that. All 4 packs have less than 10 cycles each.

Over $2300 invested

Payment options are cash or POSTAL Money Order
$1625 cash local pickup
$1650 POSTAL Money Order shipped (US Lower 48 address only)

Im straight up about my deals. I think I have covered everything and if anything is overlooked it would have to be minor for me not to recall it. I can setup local buyers TX, provided it works with the included JR 921 2.4 RX. I will do the same for non local. Just send you RX with the PMO and you will receive the heli back programmed and ready to go with you RX.

I think those are pics of his heli. He might be a pro, or a semi pro photographer.
Looks like they were shot in a studio with soft boxes. Also, the action shot of the inverted 500 is using a zoom motion blur filter, so I think he knows what he is doing :)

:edit:
Nice website Sean  I dont think i'd ever get in that dirty a$$ water! :P

bulla,
not saying the 2 aren't, but the middle one looks more of the align sales photo. Plus for that kind of $$$ i'd like to see un-molested photo's of whats up for purchase

The middle one is his tho, its in a studio using a seamless background. (my professional assesment anyway)

Thanks .. I will take that as a compliment although Im a self taught Pro WannaBe :) All photos in this listing are actual photos of the heli. The second is of my friends 500 and mine that I built at the same time. The first is the most recent and has the gear dyed black. I cannot take more pics for several days.

Here are a couple more. The last shows a 5S 4000 mah Protek semi transparent so you can see the battery try recessed. This lets you use larger packs, if they fit between the frames. Right now the tray is in the stock position for the included 6S packs. All wiring is run in the blue wire sleeving. Also that photo shows when the hitec servos were installed but they were crap and I replaced them with new 9650s which are much smoother.

Im selling as complete setup. I know Im less likely to move it that way but it performs great so the worse that can happen is I get to keep a fine heli :)

I have updated the listing so now it is Bind and Fly setup and over $600 off invested.

I do have an option for trade of a new Sony SR12 in exchange, which would allow you to purchase the heli using a credit card. If your interested in that option contact me via PM.

Here is a video of the heli and items. No access to a still cam other than cell phone at the moment. Only thing not shown in the video is the extra NIB 500L motor. You can see the minor canopy issues I mention in the listing. The only wiring that really shows in the installations is the ESC wiring where the ring is.

The way its looking it might be here 2 months from now

Heres a video of it flying. Very windy. This is a fairly large file and I did this to show that the heli does fly well. This is not a 3D demo so dont watch it expecting it to be.

I'll put a floating offer of $800. you keep the align lipo's, rx and spare 500L motor. For $1600 i can get everything new w/ better lipo's and a new TP balance charger

Socal500

Sorry.. as I stated before this is a complete package deal so that will never be an option.

You also cannot get the contents of this setup for $1600 anywhere unless its stolen :) .As far as "better batteries"... thats strictly opinion. Started with the EVO 25 2500 packs and find the Align to perform better.

If you can get what I have listed new for $1600 you should go for it .

You didn't order your new one? You should have that one in hand by now.

Two more videos. Don't expect much. Some rolls, flips, tic toc attempts, funnel which I recently learned and an inverted hover. Large files in HD.

I will not be monitoring this thread any longer and have closed it. If you are interested in the package deal at my asking price you need to PM me. No offers and Im not splitting it up.
