Will this servo set-up work for the Vstabi? I have seen a few using these on large helis with non v bar setup and have no complaints about how they work. Keep in mind I will not be doing any 3D, only sport flying. Installed on either Logo 500 or 600. When the time comes I will upgrade to the $100 per servo set-up as I know this will be better.

Yes it will work.... I've heard those servos wear fast in a heli so you may want to start saving up now.

Yeah, they would be to just get me going for the first while.

Buy cheap - buy twice - Hitec 6965 or 6975 much better value for money

If you are going as far as buying a Vstabi, best not to cheap out on cyclic servos, those are "very" important on Vstabi machines.
put it into perspective i am drawing on average 4-4.5A constant from my servos, the B-Var is very demanding on servos. you are spending a lot of money on the b-var, so why not spend a little more on decent servos?

Yes and also those servos are KNOWN to sheer off the output shaft of the servo in non-push pull applications like the Logo! If you do use them go get longer screws to hold on the servo wheels. The longer screw helps support the output shaft better.

Hey thanks for the advice guys! I asked because I'm getting these with the DX7 and AR7000 package anyways, so I figured why not use em'. Also thanks Bob, never knew that! That would suck to have a servo shaft fail in flight and damage the Logo due to being a cheap-o.
After looking it all over I can upgrade to the V-bar later anyways. By buying it up front I'm only saving $100. This way the wife won't totally freak out when she figures out how much I'm spending. It's better to learn on a fly bar machine too so I can understand how it all works.
I already have a GY401, so I'll buy a good set of servos (S9452) for cyclic for an extra $240 and just do it right from the start. I can sell the DS821's for some crash repair money.
So are the S9452's good enough then? They have MG and run 0.11 with 128 torque at 6V. From what I've read a lot of you guys run these with good success.

Good to know your stepping up to something quality. I'd be scared to do anything but hover with DS821

lol. It would be like driving a Ferrari on the Autobahn at 150 mph with Walmart tires... just asking for a bad accident.

I'm using 9452's on my 600 and 500. both flybarless. they're great servos.
