guys i know this is the wrong section but i need help figureing this out and theres no love in the charging section.

i have the align 6s 2600 lipo and i have the cellpro 4s with the tp adapters. [2s-4s]

why does it have a 3s and 4s balance connector if its a 6s?

i hook up the cell pro and it will charge the 3s plug but the 4s i get errors cause it only reads the remaining 3 cells through the 4s connector.

cant charge my new lipo and i,d sure like to maiden this today. ive gone through hundreds of threads trying to figure this out. im lost.

sorry this is the wrong spot but i know allot of you guys run this lipo.

I am pretty sure you need a different charger. I think the Cellpro 4s can only charge up to 4s total. The two balance connectors on the 6s2600 packs have to both be used together with a charger capable of balancing 6 cells... That is the way I do it on my TP1010C and TP-210V balancer...

There may be a way to charge it without balancing, but I don't know how...

First make sure your charger can charge 6s lipos, if it can then you need a adapter from your charger to thunder Power plugs on the Align battery.

The Cellpro 4s will not charge your battery. You need a 6s, at a minimum, charger. I charge the pack like you have with my Cellpro 10s. With the 10s you will need an adapter, or as I did, change the balance plugs so they are wired correctly for Cellpro.

I would recommend you find someone familiar with charging and handling our lipos to help you in person. That is an expensive battery and one little slip with a charger or bare wire and ..... :wow2:

thanks guys

there i went thinking again lol

thought i could just charge cell,s individualy with 2 balancer taps

now for a better charger, cellpro or hyperion are probably my choices.

I just started using the Thunder Power TP-610C a few weeks ago, with good results. Only regret is that I can't charge a 7s A123 ... which could have been a good match for the T500.

late yesterday the 610c made it to the list, its kind of between that one now and the hyperion. cellpro is great i,d just rather stay in the hundred range. nice thing about the 610c no need for more adapters

technilcally you can charge each cell separately, but the pack will not be properly balanced and it is not recommended. I'm not sure what happens to the non-charging cells either, they are still connected, but are they maintaining cc/cv?... if not that is BAD for those cells.

Also if you try to charge the same cell twice some balancing chargers will see the cells are too far out of balance, and just refuse to charge ie charge 1 cells 1-3, charge 2 cells 3-6, 3 would already be full on the second run and the others way to low...

Not to mention you will have to run at least 2 charge cycles to charge a single 6s pack. Waiting for a single cycle is bad enough when you are getting a 5-6 minute flight out of it... but double the time... omg

Too many variables, and not worth the risk

tp610 is gr8 but also consider the new kong power kp100w charger.

you can buy it from RH as a combo with two 3s 2200 25c packs for 199.

i just received mine last week and its fantastic, can handle all types of blancing plugs and very easy menu.
does not come with manual, need to download it.

I would go for the hyperion 610 duo, its expensive but it is well worth it. I have it and it is a great charger, it will charge 4 batteries in an hour. it has very nice features, it will show you the voltages of each individual cell, and show you the voltage gap between all the cells. it is a great charger I am realy glad I got it, it is worth the extra $$

ditto, I bought the 610I and liked it so much, I sold it and bought the duo.
You need a whopper PS to run it though. I use an old IBM x235 server PS.
12V 30A DC, $23.00 at your door off of Ebay. 1 jumper and some wires and your done.

LHS had the hyperion 6s DC charger and the tp adapter in stock and cheap too. so i bought it. my budget with all the helis ive been buying is pretty low at this time so ill bite the bullet and go with the slow charge.

the hyperion so far looks great and easy to use i really like it, wish i could afford the duo.

ill be getting 2 3s 2500 mah,s ill run in series soon. and ill split that job up with the cellpro4s and the hyperion and it will cut down on the wait.
