i chose the Futaba
simply because you already know the programing structure.
the DX7 is nice ...but you would have to learn how to program it .

Yeah but the Dx7 is very simple. I don't like the 7c. Feels kinda el cheapo to me.

My vote is for the DX7!!!!!!!
All of my heli's are on this radio. You can add up to 20 models on just one tx, plus you can fly at any field and don't have to worry of radio hits!!
One of my club member has the JR X9303 9 channels, 30 models 2.4GHz tx and he love it!!
Like I said before, I love my DX7 and I hope that will come out with the DX10 and I will move up again!!

The DX7 *AND* the 7C both feel "cheap" to me.. Programming either is simple. If you know the basic concepts, you can get through the DX7 fairly quickly.
Now, having said that, either one is fine, but IMO you'd be better off if you opted for what people in your area are flying.

I own both DX7 and 7C, I like the 7C better, no issues at all.
Just my opinion.

As Skiddz said, buy what is the most numerous at your field and what had more people to help you with.
Good thing about the 7C is that it is module based so you could fly 72 and 2.4G with the change of Module and RX.

i vote for the 7c. imho, the spektrums feel a bit cheesy and futaba is just, well... futaba.

I do favor the 7c more. Switching between 2.4 and 72 would save me in the cost of rx's. All the reviews and specs i have seen about spectrum have been good so i thought I would get others opions.

wow! the polls are tied and no one seems to be responding. it would be nice if they hadn't move from the main forum, i would really like others opions. seems like only being in the futaba sub-forum would be kinda one-sided.
I have the 7C and what kills me is the lousy manual. Why can't these people hire a professional writer to write it? Absolutely the most confusing text I ever saw. It might be a good radio, but what good is it if you can't figure it out? -Migs
