I get that I need to make a little hole and then tap it. What kind of tap can I use say from Home Depot?
I want to put the set screw under the fin so you can't see it. I searched but only found one other reference:

Put it on top. That way if it ever does loosen up its less likely to fall out. You don't have to tap it. Just drill a small hole and use a self tapping screw with a little loctite.

If you have a 450 as seen in your avitar, use one of the small ones in the spare parts bag, it should work well.
