If you want a great flying well built 3D beginner 1 meter wing plane try a Precision Aerobatics Addiction.
The construction is a work of art on the joints with a combination of CF and balsa makes for light weight and strength.
After flying it for 4 hours and experiencing how well it fly's I think all hot rod airplanes should have a no dihedral symmetrical wing mounted in the middle of the fuselage.

It flies the same right side up as upside down.
Does inside and outside flips and loops with ease.
Does horizontal and vertical rolls nice and true.
Pulls vertical rolls as far as you can see and hovers at 65% throttle.
It will take off on concrete in under 20 feet or hand launch it like a glider.
Lands better than I thought it would considering the small wheels and stiff CF landing gear.
Keep it slightly nose down and straight, flare it out at stall and it sits down on all 3 wheels for a very short roll.

Using a Spektrum DX7 tx, AR600 rx, Hitec hs65mg servos and a Hacker HACA30-28S motor with an Align 35 amp esc and TP 3s 2100 battery and the flying weight is 26 oz.
Using 75% expo with 45 deg throws on the ailerons, rudder, elevator, cutting the sensitivity to comfortable levels but allowing full travel when wanted for aggressive maneuvers.
The planes large frontal area keeps airspeed down even at full throttle in a steep dive but the plane is very responsive to control inputs even at near stall speeds.
The motor pulls 51 oz thrust with a APC 11x3.8 @ 8300 rpm.
Flight times for me are 7 minutes on a TP 2100 using 50 to 65% power most of the time.

The Addiction caught my eye recently from a magazine article. It looks like a great plane, and I'll get one one as soon as I can to have as an eeasy to transport and get in the air standby bird.

That's one hot plane. I decided to start with a MS Composit Unique. Next will be the Addiction. Foam bounces better, while learning:roll:
