Why don't you buy the JR Super Voyager E 4S? It's exactly the same heli except the canopy. JR recently released a FRP canopy looking close if not the same than the Vibe 500E canopy. But you will have to buy it separately (maybe JR released a version with the FRP canopy inside, i don't know).
I'm flying mine more and more and it's a really good heli.Heavier than my lepton but it's flying maybe a little better. I'm using 5S. I can give you the right setup.
You can see a flight done with it here: http://www.vimeo.com/765680

Nicolas,
Great flying!
I am a relatively new flyer, but I have the Super Voyager E 4S that I am learning on. It came with the Hacker motor/ESC.
The motor/esc seem to get a little hot, even with my basic hovering and slow FF.
Though I am beginner, would I benefit from a 5S pack? Do you know if the included motor/esc can handle 5S? If so, what size 5S would you recommend?
Thanks!

Hello,
First, you have to get the Hacker USB module to be able to program the ESC. Very cheap in the USA. Second, you need to remove the heatshrink tube around the heatsink of the ESC. Seems you are in california. You fly with some serious outside temp? Anyway, temp should go down by using 5S.
Esc is capable of it. Up to 6S. I'm using this exact ESC now (the Jazz 55 belonged to my test pilot). I'm very happy with it! I will try the Scorpion 90A ESC soon. French Scopion distributor send me one to test it. Thanks Fabien!
You will need a smaller pinion on the motor with 5S. Quick Japan is producing pinions that are OK for the SVE. You will need 14T. Maybe 15T. I checked motor mount: you can go down until 13T for sure and very probably 12T.You have to use 5S 3300mA batts. Pay attention to thickness. I use TP batts with 32.5mm. The canopy touches a little bit but no problem at all. You have room for 30mm. After that you will have a contact between canopy and batt. I recently bought 2 Hyperion 5S 3300 batts and they are a little bit better choice about thickness. One is 30.5mm and the other one 31mm.
If you want to use JR pinion, buy a Kontronik Kora 15-14. It's the one i use with the SVE3S stock pinion (17T). Stock SVE4S pinion is 18T.

Nicolas,
Thanks so much for that excellent information.
Is this the USB programming gizmo you said I need?
