hi im a newbee i just got a real charger the thunder power 610c and wanted to know why there is a discharge cyce. I have 2cell and 3 cell lipos

perhaps if you have fully charged packs and didn't get a chance to fly them, you can discharge them to 50% of cap for storage. the tp610 also does nicad and nimh, so the discharge feature is handy to have for those cells.
