600N super pro, or 700.
I am a 3D pilot sponsored by my LHS, I don't get free stuff just discount. is the 90 going to be much better for 3D than the 50? I won't have money for either until the 700 comes out. I have a 500 I fly currently and I plan to break up my flying between my 500 and either a 600 or 700. the 700 would only cost me 300$ more to build, so the only reason not to get it is the gas prices, I can probably get a pretty good price on nitro from the sponsorship, but not sure. I can fly the 500 about 3-4 times an hour tops, and at fields I will probably only be able to fly 5-6 times an hour depending on how many people are there that day. so flying the 500 8 times and the 700 3-4 would be good, and not to much gas. I am thinking 700 :D
so what do you think 600NSP or 700N

The power of the 700 will be unreal, but it will suck up the gas compared to the 600 and crash costs will be more overall.

No matter what your 3d skillz..you will progess much faster with a 90 bird. If you can afford to keep it in the air :smokin:

I have a 600N Pro fully decked out with the best gear available. But nothing compares to the feel of my 90 no contest! To me it's worth the additional fuel cost, you get what you pay for. It has improved my flying dramatically. If you ever have a chance to test fly a well set up 90 you will want to run to the store trust me ;)

the 600N is currently winning, but none of the people who vote for that have given a reason, but all the people who vote for the 700 say that it is because 90s are just awesome.
so why the 600N, just gas prices?

I am in the same situation with you. I had 600 Nitro with Kasama Head and Ion X (My first 90 bird) I found that 600 Nitro is a lot more faster in term of crazy 3D. I like doing crazy 3D, So I prefer my 600 Nitro better. I think the 90 size will be slower and more stable comparing to 50 size, I might be wrong b/c I never flew any 90 size Nitro.

yea I will have to see if the 700N does slower rolls than the 600n

I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like the way a 90 flies. Most guys I talk to, tell me if money were no option, they would only fly 90s...

I am thinking more and more I want the 700, espesially since V blades has the new textured extreme 690s, witch in combination with super stubz should roll as fast a a 600.

people are voting but not posting. please post if you have anything that has not already been said, and even if it has already been said say it again to convince me to get the 700 :D

I voted for the 700N.
I have a 600N Pro with all of the Nitro Super Pro upgrades and then some... I wish I had a 90. I've seen 90's fly and they're better, especially if there's wind (almost always is) so that's what I'd rather have. It sounds like the 700 kit will be close to a 600NSP kit in $$$ and the cost of blades / parts is very close. There's another thread where fuel was mentioend and the difference between a .50 and a .90 / flight was $1 more per flight in fuel cost ($4 vs. $3).
Also, since you already have the 500, get the 700... the 600 according to most people is very close to the 500.

thats what I was thinking, 500 is not to much different than the 600 except the 600 flips/rolls slower.
actually the fuel price was 2$ for 600, and 3$ for a 700. I am going to get a 700.

A 90 is a LOT more imposing than a 50. I do stuff with my 50 that I don't do with my 90. Part of this is cost. I dread to think the repair costs if I had a big smash with my 90, and for that reason, I don't push myself with it. With the 50 I'm pushing my limits all the time. Only when it's 2nd nature with the 50 do I start doing it on the 90.
My last big smash with the 50 costs the best part of $700
Same parts for the 90 would have been a lot, lot more.
Just my 2 cents.
Whatever you choose, good luck with it.

I think that I will throw my 500 around alot more when (if) I get the 700, and I think it will be more fun to fly than a 600.

the 600N super Pro will always roll and flip faster than the 700 , if you want an all around good flying 3D machine that is fast "Cyclic wise" and is economical then the 600N is for you. the 700 is a larger machine and will carry thru "larger" maneuvers like large loops and stuff with more speed , it also has more power but your comparing apples to oranges here , the 700 will be powerful and will roll pretty fast but it has a lot more mass and blade disk to deal with. it will never be as fast on the cyclic that the 600 can be , that's just physics.... but the 700 will carry thru maneuvers that the 600 just doesn't have the mass for . It all depends on your flying style , 3D isn't just 3D , there is low fast smack down style 3D that changes directions and has a lot of pitch pumping and stuff , 600 territiry , then there is the fast 3D with fast hurricaines , rolling funnels , large rainbows , tic - toc loops , the 700 would be better suited for this....

Here is my two cents worth! I just upgraded to a nitro, I went with the 600 Nitro Super Pro. Let me start out saying I am very happy with the kit, it is almost perfect! I am lucky to have a great bunch of guys at my LHS who were able to help me with the break in and tuning of the provided O.S. 50! “Frankie you rock!!”
I have recently switched to the JR X9303 2.4 “lik’en it too” so I decided to give JR electronics a try, 8717’s on cyclic and a 7703D 8900 combo on the tail, lastly I had a 9254 on the shelf so I used it on throttle. With that said I also have a 500 I built about two months ago, this little heli is a rocket, it flips and rolls as fast as my 450se. one thing I can say is that it dose not fly like my 600 CF or the Super Pro, I can say that the extra flight time I get out of the Nitro has greatly improved my discipline to practice the not so fun stuff we all need to get better at heli flying, be it 3D of scale flying. I spend a lot more time flying nose in and practicing circuits, learning orientation, because I feel like I have more time for it! The flight time on my 500 is 4:30 with the 2200 Thunder Power V2’s and I am getting about 4:00 flight time with my 600 CF out of 5000 mAh Thunder Powers, the Super Pro is an easy 9:00 with ˝” of fuel left, I suppose if I had a header tank I could get 10:00+ out of it with no fear. And lastly auto rotation, man the Super Pro really autos nice, it has all the rotor inertia you could ask for, and great solid feel, I have done some autos with the 600 CF and feel pretty competent at it but the 500 is a little bit of a one shot deal, I have messed them up more than once, but it can be done, practice in the grass first? So here it is in black and white, the 600 Super Pro cost me a whole weekend to put it together and about $2090.00 to collect all the things I needed to get it going! I guess the 700 will be another thousand on top of that, the kit will be about the same but the components will be more! Good luck; which ever you chose you will be happy, Align is producing some of the finest helis on the market.

the 700 will actually cost only about 350 more with all the nice electronics and ys engine. so about 2400. that is using an ar7100R, running 8717s of 8v with spartan 760 and 8900G, and a carbsmart and switch glow. that is not including fuel and starter, and field box. my setup on a 600NSP would cost me 2000$, 2400$ for 700N. neither of them including fuel or field box.

I voted for the 700, the wow factor alone with that heli makes the slight cost difference irrelevant in my opinion, as for the crashes, we've all done it and we'll all do it some more so if your afraid of them then there's no point in even being in this hobby. Enjoy whatever you decide on:Bang

After seeing you fly at the MHA funfly it didn't appear that you are after the pop-n-lock style of 3d you fly very smooth. I think the 700 will suite you well with plenty of power for the big moves. If you deciding to get the 700 delays it being available to me than get the 600nsp! Just kidding my vote is for the 700.

I want the 700, I just cant afford it. it would cost me about 800$ more for a 700 over a 600, plus fuel cost.

A 90 size heli is more fun to fly and auto to me than a 50. The 700 looks pretty solid and fun.

If I send you the money would that help make up your mind ? ! Reminds me of a woman shopping . Going from rack to rack never making up their minds.
