View Full Version : First Hover with my new Bird

Last night I was able too get in a flight. I wanted to trim her out, and so I put the heli on the ground and spoolled her up. I just found out how much fun this Heli is:banana .. It just hovered there waiting for me to input some command. And I just wanted to move it around a little, and before I realized what happened, I was doing FF :thumbup:. This is going to be a lot more fun then my Rex..

Now the trick will be to not LET it go into FF until YOU want it to :thumbup:

Seems very intimidating at first but its really a gentle beast! :thumbup:

Yes, Congrats! It can be a gentle beast.. but man, don't ever let it hit ya. I will never forget the sound it made when it went into the field inverted.. the sound was amazing. Have fun, but be careful. :Bang

Congrats on you maiden flight. I just did my first 550 FF on Sunday and it was awesome. When I switched from "normal" to "idle-up1" I saw the beast come alive!

Yeah it was so awsome to move it into forward flight. I need to put in some fresh batts and spooll her up again:thumbup:

I had my first flight (hovering around the driveway) of my h550 on Sunday. Tried to get it on video, but forgot my stupid camera can only record 20 seconds at the highest quality (olympus sp350). So I got a nice video of the soft start on my ESC and the camera stopped recording just before I took off. :(
