Does anyone know if these are actually going to be released, already are released in Germany, or what the whole story is here? I see them on the Mikado site (04212), but nowhere else. Am half-tempted to order them from there somehow.

I'm just pondering whether this could be the optimal option for fixing my Jazz 55/Neu 1912 overheating problem. With a 12T, I think I could make it work... maybe. It would at least be worth a try...

Meanwhile, I ordered the Tango 45-7 to give a try...

TIA,
John

The NEU is sitll going to pull to much John for that 55-10-32 guarantee it actually. Only thing the 12tooth will do of course is bring down the HS to a more adjustable level, but still not going to leave adequate room for the heat.

Ungoverned the Neu 1912 will turn 623s 2,700 rpm on a 13 tooth pinion! The same CC HV85 has been running problem free for 5 months now. 41% gov gain is about right to keep the drive train together. We estimate this motor will pull the heli just over 100mph at 2,300rpm/14 degrees of pitch, based upon some experience with FAI machines.

I could not find a gov that would run cool with this motor except for the CC. The PJ is the other exception, but it doesn't like high KV motors showing large Head Speed variances. The Jazz 55 would thermal in minutes even with 6 to 1 heatsinks. The Schulze, with 2 extra heatsinks would thermal in 5-6 minutes. We are consistantly flying in 90 degree+ F. weather.

The Schulze 32-80K/30-12HE is the smoothest running combo I have seen.

Getting ready to try PJ/30-12HE combo and PJ/32-3Max combos.
