Lately my CX2 has developed a problem that is hard to describe but I will try any way.

Flying around normally, everything seems fine. Then all of a sudden it is turning or pointing it's nose to the ground more than I have seen this heli capable of doing. No matter what I do with the sticks, it keeps that angle until it eats the ground.

For example, normally if you push the cyclic stick all the way forward the heli may be capable of tilting 15 degrees (not a real number, just an example). But it randomly will tilt 45 degrees which is beyond controllable for a fixed pitch heli. So it crashes.

Any ideas? My first thought was flybar, but it is nice and loose, seems to be doing it's job, maybe a split swash, it looks OK. I think I will install a new one just in case.

Has any one seem this and what did you do to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

Mine hasn't done that (I'm glad). Sounds fairly severe to me. Can you possibly try to isolate whether or not it's radio by testing it without the motors plugged in and see if it's a servo/RX/TX issue.

you got the links on your swashplate snapped on the center of the balls or past them? If you push them on too far there could be alot of slop or binding and snapping loose causing a knee jerk reaction. Inspect all the links.

If the screws in bottom blade holder /central holder come loose they can allow as you describe too happen. The top two need to locate in holes outershaft .http://www.helifreak.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
