Ok guys I just got my 600 CF built with all the goodies installed. I was making final adjustments to the tail and gyro. I heard my servos (Futaba 9452's) buzzing and chattering a little bit. But I know this is common because they are digital and constantly trying to find 0. Anyway I heard the buzzing maybe a little louder than normal didn't know. Wasn't really paying attention and all of the sudden I hear this god awful scream whinging sound. I am looking around and smell something and feel heat. Couldn't figure out where it was coming from. So I grab my servos and my elevator practically burned my fingers. It burnt up and wouldn't move an inch! I hope it didn't hurt my other servos. Anyway I called futaba and they said send it in and they'll repair or replace. Are they decent with replacing stuff and in a timely fashion. I was just about to go make my first real attempt at a flight and this happened. I'm so bummed. I was really looking forward to flying it.!!! Please offer some input and any ideas what you think may have caused it. Or does it happen from time to time where they just produce a bad batch?

On the plus side, I went ahead and resprayed my canopy giving it more of that beautiful blue. What do you guys think?

did you have the blades in the foam blade holder?

No I've always been a proponent of taking them out just before you plug it in. I did that a few times as a noob with my Blade 400 and you can definitely hear them working extra hard. I stopped that a long time ago.

Just got it at wal-mart. Works great and it's hard to see in the pics but it has a very deep luster and shine to it. You can really see the flakes too. If my car wasn't already that color I'd try painting my car too:smokin: ...Just teasing. It's an easy job just make sure you get that good blue masking tape you use to trim edges when you are painting walls and what not. I did and ran out towards the front that's why I got a little bit of bleeds here and there. Also another trick be sure to use some simple green to wipe off all the grit, grime and hand grease so the paint adheres. I didn't even need to rough up the canopy to get the paint to stick. Worked like a charm!
