Hello:

I use Cellpro 4s chargers to charge my Kong Power 2200mah 3s packs. The Cellpro can be set to charge at 1C, 2C, and 3C (and other settings). The 3C does a nice quick recharge, and I am wondering if there are any side effects that might result from using this charging mode. Is it safe to continue to use only the 3C mode for charging my packs?

Thanks

What kind of packs are you using? What does the pack manufacturer recommend?

There is very little to gain between 3C and 2C. It's only a few minutes difference. Although some packs can be charged at 2C/3C, most manufacturers recommend 1C in order to maximize the number of usable cycles.

I am using Kong Power 2200mah 25c 11v packs. They can be charged at 3C. But it sounds like that might lessen the usable cycles. Thank you

Of course it will. Going above 2.5C the time saved is really stuff all.
