I put the 9T pinion on my stock motor today and logged a couple of flights. This brought the Headspeed down to a more to where I like it. Currently I have 315mm blades installed because I broke my last set of 335s in my last crash, so I do not really want to make any definate statements on how I feel between running the 9T vs 10T. But I will give you some overall thoughts on the 9T.
The headspeed stayed up a lot higher then I expected. The heli still had a good amount of "pop" to it and I only expect it to be better when I put the 325mm Radix blades on it that I am waiting to arrive.
It was pretty windy today, so that is why you see the headspeed and amps going up and down quite a bit. Even with the wind, I did manage to do some Flips, Loops, Rolls and a couple of inverted punchouts. I had no problems doing any of those manuvers with the 9T pinion. Infact everything felt a lot smoother. Before on the 10T everything felt too "snappy" for my liking.
So for now I am going to leave the 9T on and when the 325mm blades show up, I will do a datalog for each pinion.
