question about teamspeak and phoenix.

I have downloaded teamspeak for use when I'm online with phoenix and my wife wants to use it when she is online gaming on last chaos. I have relatively new computer but my mic is not usb (it came with an old talk and type program where you talk into the mic and it types for you) the mic has two round stereo type jacks,one red and one black, when I plug it into my computer I can hear people talking, but they cannot hear me, so, I can't get the mic part to work. I have comcast cable internet connection. My PC is connected to a wireless router so that my wife can be online on the PC while I am online on a laptop.one of the people on last chaos said the PC would have to be connected directly to the cable modem because the wireless router is firewalled in order for it to work. I know alot of you are on teamspeak and phoenix so hopefully someone can help me out.

Firewall shouldn't effect TS. Sounds like the mic itself is not working. Check you have it plugged in properly and the volume control for it is up. When you do the test in TS can you see the volume indicator moving ?

I got it working, just had to buy a current usb headset/mic, plugged it in and it worked.....I can always count on straight answers on helifreak :cheers
