If you can buy a used copy of phoenix that someone else has installed and if it will work with the correct tx cable then how does phoenix protect its copys from being burned and sold like pirated software?

You can't run the software without the cable/dongle
Burned CD is useless without dongle

The key is having the correct cable. The ONLY cable that will work is the Phoenix cable.

Phoenix lets your download the program off the site, the protection is built into the dongle.

Well, you cant download the whole program - just the updates - but the program is available on CD-ROM from their online site for a few bucks.

Well you use to be able to download the full complete sim.

Quite right HFG and there are still places it can be downloaded. The dongle is the key and you can't use any other dongle or try to clone one. Bite the bullet and spend the money on a copy with a dongle, new or secondhand. Its worth every penny.

If anybody buys a CD only of phoenix, you have been fleeced :YeaBaby:

Yea, I agree, spend the money and support the programmers. They worked hard on this thing and deserve every penny...well worth the money in crashes avoided.
