Definitely hot, but not hot enough to make me too concerned yet. I think I've measured it around 150-160, but I've been pacing the flying with other helis to give it a chance to cool in the middle.

Part of me is sorely tempted to get the CC85HV to get my 1912 back up. The power level on this hasn't quite reached the absurd levels I'm "used to" for the Logos. I really don't need it at my skill level, and the efficiency is insane (I could probably run 11 minute flights if I was careful, but am sticking to 10), but I'm still tempted...

I tell ya, though, the way this bird flies, is just incredible. I've been tweaking my T-Rex 600 so it doesn't feel so lead-lined. Flying them back-to-back is instructive. Of late, I get the cobwebs off with the T-Rex, then the Logo comes out and just eats up sky.

Waffling, but happy

The best hole if you are going to cut one should be on the front bottom, in front of the jowel, that will bring in much more airflow rather then just above the motor.
