tail servo location

ok i got a question for you guys... i bought the jr 7703d with 8900g off rr and i was wondering should i put it in the servo slot or on the boom... im in the process of upgrading and im also putting the z30 on there with a pair of 3cell 3300s so i was thinking the boom would help with cg, the only thing im concerned about is in a crash the tail servo getting hit... has anybody had this problem?

I have that gyro/servo combo and I am running the servo on the boom. If you have the short boom, with those batteries you will need to put it on the boom to get the balance right. With the long tail, I don't know. I have the stuff to make mine a long tail, but it's flying great with the short tail, so, for now, I see no reason to change it.
