My Hurricane 550 CF has 61t, 19t, 42t and pinion 14t . Should I change this gearing to something else or keep along with my Z20A 980kv? Just FFF and some hovering. Tried to search but didnīt really found what I was looking for, but maybe someone can give me a answer.

You can try 13t pinion for longer flight, it will reduce your HS some.

Ok, so I can keep the current gearing? Maybe change the OWB to 20t just in case..

i've got the z20a 980kv and stock gearing with the exception of the 20t owb, and my flight times are as follows: 6s1p 2200mah lipo 5 minutes. 6s1p 3200mah lipo 8+ minutes. 7s1p LiFe 7 minutes.

13T + stock gears, 550 CF blades @1660 RPM, i get 13 minutes with 5S 5350mAh.

Just FFF and some hovering like you.

I have the z20a 980kv with 50T front main gear and 16T pinion gear with stock other gear, and my flight times is about 12 to 14 minutes with APlus battery: 2 x 3s1p 3300mah lipo.

Oh, yeah, forgot. I fly to 80% capacity.

I fly between 80 and 90 % of capacity with no problem. The battery, speed-control and motor run cold. With my setup, the motor draw about 16 Ampd in hovering and 32 Amp max in flying.

You actualy timed this flight time with stopwatch? I have tryed a lot of things, but that 13A current for hovering is more like t-rex 450 not hurricane.

Yes, I use a stopwatch all the time.
The current is not 13A but 16A (16A to 16.5A)

Thats about the longest i have ever seen on a Z20. What thr curve are you running?

I have a Futaba T6EXHP with the following setting :

Throttle curve : 0-33-65-82-100
Pitch curve : 60-65-70-82-95

About -0.5 degre negative to about 9 degre positive

The math is against your stated time. With 16A current draw, 90% discharge with 3300 lipo, you get theoreticly 11 minutes and 8 seconds. I can't imagine where you get that 14 minutes...

I have 6S 3300mAh pack right infront of me, and i can't get over 10' with 500 CF blades spining at as little as 1600 RPM. What blades do you fly?

14 minute, It is a average time including hovering, flying and some landing practice.
I will reverify my hovering Amp to be sure. Just hovering is about 12 min like you said.
I think that this is a good flying time to have fun.

Z20/980, Revco 68T/61T gears, 22T Revco pinion, 2x KP2200's.. 5 minutes. Basic hover and FFF. I put 1730mah back in the batt's..

you should lower you gears to get more time because 2200rpm isn't needed for ff and hovering... my friend gets 4.3 minutes with the z20 and 42t 14tpinon and he does some pretty good 3d
