I'm trying to build up a spare head for my 550. Anyone know where the washers for the feathering shaft spindle are available. I can't seem to find it in the hardware packs.

Nope the ones under the bolts and between the bearing and the thrust bearing on the grips
The ones under the bolts 3x8x1 (aka adjuster) and the 5x9x0.25 washer between the bearing and thrust bearing.

I have checked too. RH sent me an answer which was not correct, and I requested more info. I also have a emailed into HD and I'm waiting for their answer. Anybody have a e-mail for Gaui?
Looks like if you lose one these washers you have to buy a new kit to get a new one:shock:

Are you talking about the plastic spacers that go between the inside bearing and the thrust bearing? If so, those aren't used anymore.
Or, are you talking about the 5x9x.25 washer that goes between the thrust bearing and the outer bearing?

No not the plastic spacers....
And Yes the 5x9x.25 washer! Also, the washer on the end bolt ( which maybe a std M3 washer?? )

According to the manual it is not a standard washer but it is stepped. Depending on how you orientate the washers you can very the head damping from soft (steps in to give minimum squashing of dampers) medium (one in, one out to give medium damping) or both out (to give maximium damping). If you used flat washers than that would be the same as maximum damping.

The washer for the spindle bolt is a step washer used to adjust the head stiffness/responsiveness. It's called an adjuster.
I looked at ReadyHeli too and didn't see the part. (Don't lose it.)

Just got a response from ReadyHeli. Seems like the washers and adjusters are not in any replacement bags. They are talking to Gaui too see if the parts are available. ( I knew ReadyHeli would come thru )
So the upshot is...For now.... Don't lose these washers!

I agree but I think their "adjustment" is full of BS. for the supposed "tiny" bit of difference I doubt the presure on the hear O rings is going to change much. They make it seem like you have like 3-4 different settings..... I think someone is smoking some funny weed unless any of you Freaks can verify the results.... You I would believe...maybe..
JB or Wazzer..."never" cause they would say anything to get attention....they are both starved for it and are tired of living in that "hell hole" they call paradise. :nanabobo And want the rest us to believe they are "really happy" there.

Heli Direct came back with a substitute for the washers on the end of the spindle under the bolts the 3x8x1.
http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?products_id=5859
These are the the adjusters step washers listed in the corrected grip assembly but are the ones listed in the 4.12 of the assembly manual.

I think before I would use those I'd go to my local Home Depot or Electronics or Hobby shop....those look like just plain SAE washers....
