Madden flight on my predator condor today it is a sweet bird I still need to install the stator gator and gv-1 I have a 10 tooth pinion and 88 tooth main gear and a 26cc motor I read that 12,500 is target engine speed what head speed should I shoot for with that gear ratio and 810mm blades 1420 would be what it is now

Thanks jason

Is your engine stock or is it modified?

12,500 is a little high for stock, normally we shoot for between 10,000 and 11,000.

If it's modified engine, say from Hanson, and was given the full treatment, then 12,500 is a good target engine RPM.

For finding headspeed, just do the math,

88/10= 8.8 this is you gear ratio.

10,000 / 8.8 = 1136. Quite low....

11,000 / 8.8 = 1250 still on the low side maybe, depending on your head dampening.

12,500 / 8.8 = 1420 right in your ballpark.
