Ok I keep seeing where people are mentioning "Cutting the Stock Blades to modify them to swivel back" but for the life of me I can't find an article with pics & details how. I can't seem to get my wee lil mind wrapped around this concept so I need pics. :YeaBaby:
Any help would be appreciated and just for the record I did do a HF search but can't seem to "Drill Down" to the correct pages.
Sicnerely,
Allen :)

I don't think they mean "...to make them swivel back", but more like use the mounting end as a platform to attach either trimmed down stock blades or Xtreme blades via a screw so they become folding.

If you're interested in folding blades check out www.bladecx2.com (http://www.bladecx2.com)
They have some interesting upgrades for the CX2

We've talked EXTENSIVELY about those people on RCU Forums, and those People are famous for relabeling and marking up.
Their motors are XTREME motors relabeled. Alot of their stuff is junk (alot of peoples opinion). Some is okay, but I don't like dealing with overpriced re-labeled parts.
They also rely on people mistaking XTREME for their parts.
You want XTREME, not EXTREME parts in Your heli.
XTREME grips and blades are bar none, the best upgrade You can do for Your CX-2, if You are tired of breaking blades.
Avoid MICROHELI Blade Grips; both the new and the old style; WORTHLESS! !
Is this the correct website?

ABSOLUTELY ! ! Get both ! Order an extra set of brushes; silver offer more power, but somewhat shorter life, but they are easier on the commutator and won't score it so much so longer motor life !
Bear in mind that until the brushes wear in, You will think You got crappy motors with little power; keep the first 3 or 4 flights mild and cool the motors between flights and when the brushes wear in fully, You won't believe the added power of these. These motors do best with 15C or better batteries, though.
When installing the blades, make sure they are LOOSE! Not sloppy, but swivel easily.
Also, make sure the flybar moves FREELY !
You will want to slice off about 1mm on one of the flybar ball joint linkages to give You more room to adjust them closer together as this is what it seems to need to get the uppers to track right. So locktite both screws, make sure the upper grips swivel very freely (or Your flybar will be tight; NOT GOOD), install blades loosely with SLIGHT resistance, and uniformly so; not one a little tighter than the other. Adjust tracking and enjoy NOT breaking blades every crash. You WILL notice Much improved lift with the XTREME blades.
You won't look back.

What are the "general thoughts" about doing the
EXxTREME CORE http://www.bladecx2.com/new.gifv2.0 (http://www.bladecx2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16)$64.95
http://www.bladecx2.com/upgrade_parts3.html
or
Extreme Core V1.2 $64.96
http://minihobbyshop.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=811
It's also available from
http://www.helihobby.com/html/blade_cx2.html for the same price......
They look identical and are almost the same price. Is anyone else running either one of these upgrades? It would be doing several upgrades all at one time.
What do yall think?

My (and many peoples) General thought is that most all of their stuff is overpriced :badair:
It is still plastic and steel; steel that is longer and MORE apt to bend, IMO.
$64.00? Give Me a break; get the XTREME (NOT EXTREME) Grips and blades, and You will be thanking Me, I promise You!

Enjoy having more lift, more durability, and not breaking blades every 5 minutes!
Make sure the blades are loose, the flybar moves FREELY, and these will amaze You.

Thanks. I'm really looking forward to the improved performance. I haven't broken blades in a while (knock on wood) but I would like more lift for sure.
I'll post back once I have everything and let yall know how they work.

I got the "Boomtown" Upper & Lower blade grips & blades in yesterday. Installed them and got no "toilet bowl" syndrome but man is it "Responsive". I think my heart beat made it LEAP across the room *LOL* no seriously.. I didn't do a "Demo Flight" right before the upgrade so I don't have an EXACT comparison but I can tell you it's much more responsive than before. I'll probably do some intensive flying this weekend outside to see where the REAL difference comes into play.

Boomtown is the best. I work and live in Iraq, and when my wife ordered my 400 from Jamie it took 4 days to get here, a package from my wife took 3 weeks to get here from the states. Jamies stuff is quality and he will back it up. If you have a problem he will fix it. I have been ordering from boomtown for 2 years now and have never had a problem. If you are uing the stock blades then put clear packing tape on the bottom of them and it makes them a bit more durable, and believe it or not if you get it on there without bubbles in the seal, it gives a slight bit of perfomance because they are slick.
