View Full Version : Continue to get Tail Wag at 7% in Hold

I've got the 450 and Futaba 401. I am only at 7% in heading hold and continue to get tail wag. When I go to idle up 1, I'm at only 20% and 25 for Idle up 2.

I have gone through everything and the settings seemt to be fine. A Hitec HS-81 is on the tail with the linkage on the second hole from the servo. If I put it on the first one, it rubs against the servo case at full deflection.

Digital servo is off on the gyro, the limits are set per what I saw in Bobs 401 set-up video, and the delay is set on 0. The gyro is on the bottom of the back part of the frame wrapped very tightly with a strap of velcro.

Like I said, all the linkage seem to be fine and even going through Bobs 401 set-up, nothing seems to be working.

Any advice on what to do next?

Thanks alot

I would try another servo. Because at 7% sensitivity if that is your correct setting. The gyro is virtually off and should not be making any corrections. Also I would check the programming good and make sure you have the sensitivity set correctly. Or it could be the thrust bearings in the grips locking up.

I really am at a loss with this. It's been doing it for a while and I have been getting by but when I want to do some inverted flight I don't want a non responsive tail. I want it to HOLD!!

I don't have any extra servos lying around. I'm off to the hobby store tomorrow. I'll see if they will let me borrow one and see what happens.

Thanks for the quick response.

I am going to increase the headspeed also and see if that helps.

2,100? Not sure what I'm running now
