Okay, I have about 2 gallons through my 600n now and since day one been fighting a problem. I am now on my third header tank and all three (Hayes 2oz) will slowly leak while I am fueling them. The fuel is making its way out of the where the nipple inserts into tank. I don't think it is causing a problem in flight. I have emptied all tanks and blown through the lines and although there is some resistance I can continually blow air through the system and out the muffler. I am using the small blue aerotrend line on inside of header and main tank.
On a couple occassions, when I pulled the fueling nipple off after fueling, it spit back some fuel like it was under some small pressure. I am really not sure where to go from here, has anyone else had this problem. I am using the stock tank, hayes header tanks and align muffler.

Thanks for any help.

1. did you check to make sure their wasn't any flashing left on the mold lines where the nipple piece goes into the tank?
2. Make sure you have the metal piece around the lip where the nipple piece goes into the tank as well.

Do you fill up with the muffler plug in place? It needs to be removed first.

If it's leaking while you are pumping in the fuel, check to see where, the fuel line may be to big in diameter. if not you may want to use a zip tie to make the seal real tight in addition to making sure that there are no clogs as listed in the above advice

i had the same problem with a brand new quick UK header tank and went with the cheaper thunder tiger one and haven't had any trouble.

Cut a short piece of fuel line (like 4-5 mm) and put it over the part of the fuel line that goes onto the nipple. Tightens it up and gives you extra safety so the line don't come off... I do that with every connection even on the clunk and never had problems... always double up !!

Thanks all for the help.

We watched it very close and the fuel is coming out of the header tank and not from the outside. Only thing I can think of is using the smaller aerotrend as clunk lines is creating enough restriction while under fueling pressure that it is causing this. I guess I can try a bigger, but less flexible clunks lines, and see if it still does it. Although not blocked, I guess I could also open up the nipple on header and tank a bit and give it a try as well.

you should be using medium size fuel line for the entire fuel system.
