Yes you will definately have to use a different model setup in your radio. Assuming the Futaba supports multiple model setups (I'm sure it does) you will need to set up one just for phoenix and you will want to disable swash mixing in order to get it working right.
And thanx to you Princew for this info tidbit!. I just happen to have that mix activated!

Phoenix runs fine on my MBP in //s - you can turn all the graphics up to highest and still have an ultra smooth sim. However i tried to use it in VMWare Fusion and i cant get it to run smooth.. not sure if there is a trick to it.. it just gets choppy all the time

The OP stated "MacBook", not "MacBook Pro". I don't think it will run very well on a MacBook, since it lacks a high-end video card. Definitely runs on a MBP though.
I use to run phoenix on my old laptop that had a 32mb video card. It wont run full graphics but it will run.

I have tried to get my MBP w //'s to run phoenix with shadowing in high and antialiasing on but those options are not available when I run the sim in //'s (it is light grey and can not be chosen even though I can see it). How did you get those options (what is your screen resolution set to?)? Did you have to tweak the settings?

Mind if I ask what laptop you used to use? I have a iBook G4. Is there any chance it could run Phoenix? I could upgrade to Leopard pretty easily. Thanks
Brad
It was an Acer. Gave it to my kid brother when i got the iMac. Best way to find out if the sim will run is to DL the demo. The demo isnt playable but its not a video but the real game play, so if it runs it will run :)
Thanks, but not an option as I'm currently running Tiger so don't have boot camp. Don't really want to invest any cash into this system without knowing if the sim will work. I really doubt it would. Thanks anyway.

An iBook G4 would not run Boot Camp and any virtualization software would be dog slow. You need an Intel processor; your iBook has a PowerPC.
Ya, thanks Alan, I figured so. Time to upgrade!

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I used bootcamp to install XP. When I open Phoenix it just crashes and says it had an error and will not work. Any ideas what could be causing this. I really know nothing about Windows so I don't even know where to start looking.
