Is there any difference in the E-flite and Gaui 7.4v 800mAh battery packs? I can get the E-flite packs at the LHS but the Gaui ones I would have to order on-line. Thanks.

the eflites work ok. the gaui's work a little better. i have four gaui batteries, and 2 eflites. i use the gaui's almost all the time. the eflites get a little hot when i use them.

I've notice that the E-flite battery packs get pretty warm. Is it the size of the battery packs? It seems that the E-flite ones are more retangle and the Gaui ones are more square. Is it the shape that is related to the heat? Just courious. Thanks!

i think it's the discharge rate. the gaui is a little higher. go to the lipo threads and you can learn eveything about that. much better than you would by me.

i would learn about lipo's. they can explode, or start a fire if you aren't careful.

It's mostly related to a battery's max discharge rate. Not all 2C 800mAh batteries are rated to discharge at the same rate. If a battery is hot after a flight it's a pretty good indicator that you are asking for more juice (amps) than the battery can deliver. This will shorten the life of the battery. I don't think the physical shape of the battery matters at all but max discharge rate, 22C for instance, is related to the max capacity of the battery, 800mAh for instance. So a smaller battery has a lower capacity and thus a lower max discharge.

Has anyone tried the Mystery 7.4V 900mAh 15C? I wonder how are these cheap $7 batteries compared to others?

ReadyHeli has the Gaui7.4s in stock. 4 less than they did 5 minutes ago.

I also saw they have some KP packs for the 200 as well, but they are only 600mah.
