I see ready heli has the 3s gaui batteries for the 200. Has anyone tried 3s? especially a motor that will work with the 15 tooth pinion if one goes shaft drive?

I'm thinking of trying my hdx300 motor, I think its 3800KV. Just wondering what people have tried that worked.

I believe Ray Stacy said he was going to have a motor that worked on 3S.

i think ray said scorpion might be working on one. ray must be busy. i haven't seen him on here in a while. 2S is plenty for me. crazy headspeeds. i turned my throttle curve waaaaaay down.

its flips okay on 2S but not as well as I'd like.

hmm,

I have a 3800 kv motor, wonder if that would be too high for a 15 tooth pinion.

HUH?

I'm really happy that I lucked out on my setup (runs fine), but I get decent head speeds with 2s and pretty good performance, though not crazy, or worried about the blades, with 3s.

All of these are old batteries, and I can tell from recent posts on flight times, that I've worn, or damaged them, so we'll have to see.

the stock motor is 4800 kV so I don't think it would be too much

would be about 4200 rpm I believe.
